See inside for your chance to win!

Guilted by the site of superdiva's Boston diary, I shall finally post.

The Hat:

While at The Milky Way, just after Blixco had left, I came across a small black hat with a puffin on it on the table at which he'd been seated. He's been wearing a black hat on and off all night, so I figured he'd forgotten it.

Now, looking back, it's pretty clear it wasn't his - firstly, it's way, way too small to fix a blixco-sized head. Secondly, puffins don't quite seem like the blixco-style. These points lost on me, I took it, planning to return it to him the next day.

Needless to say, it wasn't his. If this hat is your's, let me know, and I will promptly (by which I mean with the utmost lethargy, as I am intensely lazy) return it to you. If it wasn't yours, but you want it, I shall mail it to you if no one makes a more legitimate claim to it. It is smallish, so do make sure you don't have a blixco-sized head if you wish to claim it.

The Meet:

I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said better by others. I had a good time. Superdiva did a wonderful job of organizating this and has my utmost thanks. Like everyone else, I wish I could have had more one-on-one time with some people, but I suppose that's an inevitable problem with large meets.

Ah. I suppose I do have something to say that hasn't been said by others: I often found myself wishing, as the meet went on, that I'd been a less passive participant on HuSi. I doubt this regret will be enough to prod be into posting more; I'm very busy, and lazy, and private. (This last problem could conceivably be remedied by a duplicate account, but even then I suspect those close to me would quickly pick me out. I cannot be the shadow that Queue is.) Only time will tell.

Pants:

I like 'em.

Life:

As mentioned above, I don't feel like I can write about a lot of what I'd like to. What I can follows:

School:

I think I'm dangerously behind in school. I'd have no problem doing well on exams if I were to write them right now (convenient, as I will be writing them in about two weeks) but papers are piling up. I've got two (in the same class, no less) that are way past due, and several large ones due in the next week or so. In total, I've got around 20,000 words due in the next two weeks.

I am, as I mention frequently by way of  explaining my lack of productivity (or attempting to, at least), enrolled in 7 courses (3 of which are final year courses) and working 30 hours a week. I'd like to think that this offers a justication for my not doing terribly well with either, but I still have free time - ie, the time I'm spending now, to write this. No, in the end I simply don't feel up to doing school stuff. I'll do some reading for one of my papers tonight. It's 5,000 words long, a major term paper, and due on Wednesday, so I should probably be doing more than reading. Feh.

Meta:

Well, wasn't that insightful. You'll have to take my word on their being most interesting stuff that I chose not to write. Honest. Really!

Ouch... by superdiva (6.00 / 1) #1 Sun Mar 28, 2004 at 01:25:36 PM EST
School and work are freakin' tough.

Busy, lazy, and private describes most of the HuSites, I think.

If the meet didn't prod you into it, I'll prod you into it.

With my penis.

I see the problem.. by ni (6.00 / 1) #3 Sun Mar 28, 2004 at 01:56:11 PM EST
You're confusing "posting more often" with "lots and lots of buttsex". It's completely understandable, I make the mistake sometimes myself. In fact, this mistake was how I came to have a keyboard stuck in my rectum. Thanks for getting that fucker out, by the way.

If you'd be so kind as to email me an address to which it can be sent, I shall return it post haste.

But: Worst. Sugarpacket. EVAR.

Seriously. You've got to switch brands.

Complains:

  1. Not enough lube. More lube is always a good thing.
  2. Open end seemed bizarrely tight - I think it was because it tightend less gradually than most sugar packets. Perhaps this just means that I have an usually large amount of sugar.
  3. Lacked self-contained dancy fairies.

I'm partial to Durex for my sugar packing needs, and it's not just a matter of national pride. Normally I'd go with the majority and be pro-Trojan, but I've had explosive sugar-packet failure an unnatural (like, 5 or so) number of times with Trojan. Durex hasn't ever failed me.

i didnt buy it. by LilFlightTest (3.00 / 0) #9 Wed Mar 31, 2004 at 07:20:33 AM EST
it came as part of an assortment from the student clinic. theres a reason it hadnt been used. i dont like that kind much either. though generally, i prefer my sugar in free form. you know, the bulk stuff, rather than the packeted.
